Zosimo R. Yee

Zosimo R. Yee, age 68, of Indian Creek, died Thursday, February 29, 2024. He was born June 19, 1955, in the Philippines to Jose Athling and Potenciana (nee Repollo) Yee. After a short stint working in Kuwait, Zosimo immigrated to the United States in 1987. Zosimo had an extremely strong work ethic, he dedicated even 30 years to Abbott as an environmental specialist. He was a loyal work-a-holic who had a perfect attendance record and covered a lot of additional shifts. Zosimo was very popular due to his kind heart and generosity. For hobbies, he loved watching movies and listening to music. Most importantly, he collected military memorabilia with a significant focus on the Navy. In addition to his parents, Zosimo was preceded in death by his siblings Segunda (Natalio), Inocencia (Julio), Tomasa, Agapito (Linda), Balthazara, Abelito, Josefina, Rodolfo, Samuel, nephews Restituto and Nacito, nieces Cleofe and Janet. He is survived by his daughters Fern and Deca; fiancée Irma; her son Alexis; granddaughter Monica; nieces Ivy (Jojit), Sheila (Mark), Maica, Aileen, Wilma, Melchorita, Alejandrina (Joventino), Teofani (Herminigildo), Ninfa (Genaro), Ma. Corazon (Loreto), Frances (Joe), Leah (Noli), Nona (Ricky), Jessila (Collin), Nenia, Cynthia (Joseph); nephews, Mark (SuLin), Stephen (Aprilyn), Christopher (Ethel), Joseph (Anabelle), Mark Anthony (Shiela), Jeremiah (Erah), Peter (Ofelia), Niceforo (Grace), Regino (Elsa), Anthony, Alejandro (Ferlyn), Amelito (Jocelyn), Christopher (Abegail), Michael (Iris); sisters-in-law Carmen and Josefina; brother-in-law Angeles; nieces-in-law Carling and Elma; nephew-in-law Marcelino, and grandkids. Funeral mass will begin at 10:30 AM Friday, March 15, 2024, with a one-hour visitation before Mass at St. Mary of Vernon Church, 236 Hwy 45 in Indian Creek, IL. A livestream link will be available at 10:15am Friday on funeral home website. A visitation will be held from 4:00 to 8:00 PM Saturday, March 16th at Burnett-Dane Funeral Home, 120 W. Park Ave. (Rt. 176, one block west of Milwaukee Ave.) in Libertyville. Interment will be in Serenity Gardens, Tanjay, Philippines. Livestream link available at 10:15am Friday
