Lisa Marie Larson

Lisa Marie (nee Raspanti) Larson was absolutely the most loving wife, caring mother, beloved sister, cherished daughter, and loyal friend. Much too suddenly and too soon, she joined the angels and saints in Heaven on Wednesday, September 1, 2021, at the age of 57. She was a truly warm-hearted, kind, and vibrant woman who left a positive mark on everyone she ever met. Born as the second of four children, Lisa made her way into the world August 14, 1964, to the proud parents, the late James and Connie Raspanti, in Pittsburgh, PA. Loving siblings include, 2 brothers, Mark (Jackie) Raspanti and Jim (Jennifer) Raspanti and by a sister, Lori (Gerry) Simon. Lisa’s competitive spirit led to her involvement in basketball, softball, and many other sports throughout her life. Her engaging personality and ability to listen to others led her to making lifelong friends. Lisa continued her education at Edinboro University in Erie, PA where she recently attended a reunion of college friends and so enjoyed seeing everyone. Lisa met her future husband of 28 years, Todd Larson in 1991 and eventually settled in Grayslake, IL where she raised her family. Of the many things Lisa accomplished, where she shined most brightly was being a devoted mother and role model to her three girls, Jordan Nicole (Adam Shurson), Kayley Marie, and Amanda Taylor. Lisa was always surrounded by her family, whom she loved deeply, and they loved her more than words can ever express. She was always involved in her family’s school and St. Gilbert Church. Lisa enjoyed coaching her daughter’s basketball teams. Her strong and competitive leadership was always on display as she coached. She had a special way of making everyone feel welcomed and valued as part of the team. We will always remember Lisa’s warm smile and the special sparkle in her eyes. She was an incredibly exceptional person, loved by many wherever she went. Always willing to listen and be a friend. She will forever and always be missed but surely never forgotten. A funeral mass will begin at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 4, 2021 at St. Gilbert Church, 301 E. Belvidere Rd. Grayslake, IL. A visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday at Burnett-Dane Funeral Home, 120 W. Park Ave. Libertyville, IL. Interment will be at Lakeside Cemetery in Libertyville.
