Jill E. Kuscsik

Jill E. Kuscsik, 56, passed away on Monday, February 9, 2026 at her home in Gurnee, IL. She was born June 30, 1969 in Libertyville, IL, was a 1987 graduate of Libertyville High School and had been living in Gurnee for the past 30 years. Jill received her bachelor's degree in early childhood development from University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, and started her career at Sears corporate child daycare. She switched careers into Medical supply industry working fo Medikmark and Stradis until “retiring” in 2022. Most recently she was able to re-engage with her loving and passion and took great pride in taking care of her great nephew Luca in his early development. She enjoyed gardening, mowing the lawn, reading, shopping, scrap-booking, bowling, watching sports, golfing, and especially running, exemplified for running 5 marathons, including the Chicago marathon and New York City marathon with her family in 2024. Jills highest priority and most closely treasured value in life was without doubt her family and close friends – her two wonderful sons Alex and Ryan, husband Steve, parents, sisters, in-laws, nieces and nephews, cousins, great friends, work colleagues, and neighbors. Jill loved her family profusely and they loved her the same. Jill always asked question after question to her sons about their lives, friends, classes, work, - it was clearly her way of being so engrained in their lives, and showing that the seemingly inconsequential details and small moments of our lives is what makes up the key fabric our love, meaning, and connections. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Surviving is her husband of 28 years, Stephen Kuscsik; 2 sons, Alex & Ryan Kuscsik; mother, Yvonne Piazzi; 2 sisters, Susan (Ken) Kunin & Lynn (Martin) Ticar; sister-in-law, Christina (Cam) Wiese; Marilin Kuscsik, nephews & nieces Courtney (Chris) Guerriero and their son Luca, Dominick & Bradley Kunin and Evan Ticar and by her lifelong dearest best friend, Jodi (Norb) Hanson. She was preceded in death by her father, Remo Piazzi in 2005, Mother-in-Law Nina Kuscsik and brother-in-law Tim Kuscsik both in 2025.. A visitation will be held from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. Monday, February 16, 2026 at Burnett-Dane Funeral Home, 120 W. Park Ave. (Rt. 176, one block west of Milwaukee Ave.) in Libertyville. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with interment to follow to Highland Memorial Park in Libertyville.
