Gerald G. Paddack

Gerald G. Paddack, 83, passed away quietly on Monday, May 12, 2025, at his home in Mundelein, IL. He was the beloved father of Linda, Jerry (Kristy) Paddack and Ryan (Sarah) Paddack and beloved grandfather of Tyler, Connor, Rand, Rocco, Liam and Maggie. He is also survived by his brother, Gene (Lynn) Paddack and sister-in-law, Jeanette Paddack. He was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Don Hankins and siblings, Warren, Dale, Ronald & Wes Paddack and Dodi Lauritsen. Gerry was born June 24, 1941 to William and Rose Paddack in Highland Park, IL, one of 7 children. Formerly of Deerfield, IL, Highwood, IL and Libertyville IL he has lived in Mundelein for the past 35 years. Gerry was a United States Army veteran and retired from Glazier Local #27 after 40 years of service where he installed glass windows at the Sears Tower & John Hancock buildings in Chicago. He was a proud member of the National Rifle Association and was known as someone who loved his country. Gerry will be remembered as or a person who enjoyed life and wanted everyone to have a good time. He was always quick with a smile and a beer and enjoyed sitting outside on a nice day passing the time with family and friends. He enjoyed DIY projects and enjoyed making improvements to his home and grounds, often roping his unsuspecting children into his many projects. Gerry also had a passion for golf and enjoyed golf outings with his friends and family. He especially enjoyed spending time on the golf course with his grandchildren. Gerry had a sense of adventure and enjoyed taking trips with his children, especially to Las Vegas. Gerry was larger than life and he will be missed by many. A visitation will begin at 4:00 p.m. followed by a service at 6:00 p.m., Friday, May 23, 2025 at Burnett-Dane Funeral Home, 120 W.
