Robert W. Homann, 97, passed away on Tuesday, December 21, 2021 in Glenview, IL. He was born December 16, 1924 in Evanston, IL and had been a Libertyville resident since 1969. Robert was a graduate of Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, was a former printing production manager for City Products in Des Plaines and former director at Winnetka Bank. Robert was an active member of the Libertyville Masonic Lodge #492 as a master mason & grand lecturer and enjoyed traveling, motorhoming, annual fishing trips with his family and wood working. Surviving are his 3 children, Scott (Andrea) Homann, Craig (Carol) Homann and Bruce Homann; 7 grandchildren, Brian (Jessika) Homann, Kathryn (Patrick) Sweeney, Barbara (Nicholas) Owens, Kevin (Monica) Homann, Laura (Tyler) Toporowski, Melissa (Ojan) Negahban and Mark Homann; 8 great grandchildren and by his loving companion, Jerilynn Steele. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jean in 2013, by brothers, Frederick & Charles Homann and sisters, Grace & Augusta Armstrong. A visitation will begin at 3:00 p.m. followed by a service at 4:30 p.m. Sunday, December 26, 2021 at Burnett-Dane Funeral Home, 120 W. Park Ave. in Libertyville. For those attending services, masks will be required and for those that wish to attend virtually, a link will be available on the funeral home website beginning at 4:00 p.m. Interment will be on Monday at Memorial Park Cemetery in Skokie.
