Krsto Kovacevic

August 13, 1948 - May 7, 2022

Krsto Kovacevic, 73, passed away on Saturday, May 7, 2022 in Pleasant Prairie, WI. He was born Aug. 13, 1948 in the Republic of Serbia, came to live in the United States in 1973 and has resided in Kenosha County for 25 years. He was the former owner of K & K Properties in Chicago. Krsto Kovacevic, a great man loved by so many. His gentle and protective spirit made him the best father, grandfather a family could ever ask for. As a provider for his family, he nourished all of those around him with strength and love. For Krsto, family was his most proud accomplishment. Three daughters (along with their spouses) and seven grandchildren. He will be missed by all that ever knew him and was truly loved by so many. Attending grandchildren’s sporting events brought him joy and made him proud. There was no distance too far for him travel to be their greatest supporter. The outdoors opened his heart to the freedom and calm that his soul desired. If he wasn’t hunting in WI and MI, bringing Nancy many pheasants, deer, geese and ducks to clean, you might find him fishing on lakes, river, or on the Florida coast catching sharks. He loved to travel. Visiting many US states, Central America, the Caribbean and Europe. He absolutely loved warm weather and Florida was his home away from home. He spent many hours at the local church with friends playing bocce ball, attending festivals and hanging out at Flounders. Don’t think we remember him missing any UFC or boxing match on tv. He made sure the channel was tuned in so he could cheer on his favorite fighter. Krsto lived a very full life where he worked hard and reaped all the rewards. Though he was taken way too soon, the days of his life were full of love and happiness. The family he leaves behind will be forever grateful for all he did for them and will cherish every moment they were blessed to have him as part of their lives Surviving are his wife of 50 years, Nedeljka Kovacevic; 3 daughters, Ljiljana (Djuro) Stojsavljevic, Biljana (Vaskrsije) Jankovic and Bosiljka (Bosko) Damnjanovic; 7 Grandchildren, Neven, Mladen, Krstan, Violeta, Nevena, Bodin and Divna; his sister, Milosava Brkovic and brothers, Nedeljko and Rade Kovacevic. Visitation will be from 5:30 pm until 9:00 pm on Tuesday, May 10, 2022 at the Burnett-Dane Funeral Home, 120 W. Park Ave. (Rt. 176, one block west of Milwaukee Ave.) Libertyville.
