Kent R. Lauret Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Kent R. Lauret, 79, passed away on Tuesday, March 23, 2021 at Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville, IL. He was born October 21, 1941 in Waukegan, IL and was a longtime resident of both Waukegan and Beach Park. He most recently lived in Libertyville for the last 8 years. Kent worked as a draftsman and retired as a Senior Map Recorder for Northshore Gas Company in Waukegan. He was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church and former member of the Swedish Glee Club in Waukegan. He was a music lover and sang in the choir at the Swedish Glee Club as well as in a Barbershop Quartet. He also played in the Waukegan High School Band and in the Bells choir at St. Paul’s. He enjoyed bowling and golfing and will be remembered as an avid train and fishing enthusiast. He was a “foodie”, trivia master and loved his cat, Baby. He was a loving brother, husband, father and grandfather. Surviving is his wife, Georgia Lauret; son, Kevin (Dawn) Lauret; 2 granddaughters, Shannon (Travis Sims) Lauret; Jessica Lauret and also by 2 brothers, John (Linda) Lauret and Terry (Dee) Lauret.
