Judith H. Bucciero

August 2, 1938 - April 8, 2022

Judith H. Bucciero, 83, passed away Friday, April 8, 2022 in Mundelein, IL. She was born on August 2, 1938 in Detroit, MI, was a longtime resident of Grosse Point, MI and after retirement lived in Florida for 17 years, currently living in Libertyville, Il for the past 9 years. Judy was an elementary school teacher in the Detroit School System, a nurse at Children’s Hospital in Detroit and at a nursing home in Traverse City, MI. She was a member of Grosse Pointe Memorial Church in MI and currently a member of First Presbyterian Church in Libertyville. Music was a big part of Judy’s life and she enjoyed teaching piano after retirement. She played in numerous handbell choirs, and even led many choirs and sing-a-long activities in her retirement community. Also, after retirement she took up golfing and was proud to say she made a hole-in-one once in her life. Surviving are her 3 children, Alice Bucciero, Thea (the late Brett) Knott & Michael (Jennie) Bucciero and grandchildren, Lindsey (James) Spence, Ashley (Zach) Winch and Luke & Benjamin Bucciero. She was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Bucciero and her son, Andrew Bucciero. A visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. followed by a service at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 28, 2022 at First Presbyterian Church in Libertyville. A reception will be held at the Bucciero residence following services at 917 Springhaven Drive, Libertyville, IL 60048. Interment will be at Grosse Pointe Memorial Church.
