Donald W. Ottow

Donald W. Ottow, 91, passed away on Sunday, March 13, 2022 surrounded by his family at his home in Libertyville, IL. He was born February 17, 1931 in Beloit, WI, was formerly of Deerfield, IL, living in Libertyville since 1996. Don was a retired supervisor after 40 years, at Northwestern University caring for the buildings and grounds, a proud member of the painter’s union and was a veteran of the United States Army National Guard. Don was a die-hard Chicago Cubs fan, enjoyed fishing, traveling, especially cruises after retirement, and will be remembered as a fixer-upper, always puttering around, helping anyone in need. Surviving is his wife of 66 years, Barbara J. Ottow; 3 Children, David Ottow, Don (Mirjana) Ottow and Joan Ottow; 3 grandchildren, Amy (Ryan Morris) Reichel, Julie (Patrick) Goggin & Michael (Danielle) Mariani and by 2 great grandchildren, Lily & Lea Lynn. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Patricia Reichel and a brother, Dwayne Ottow. Private family services will be held at a later date with interment at Lakeside Cemetery in Libertyville, IL.
