Dolores Marie Gresser

Dolores Marie Gresser, 89, passed away on Friday, June 3, 2022, in Libertyville. She was born March 2, 1933, in Chicago to Felix and Eleanor (Fenn) Hardy. She remained Chicago’s #1 booster after she and her former husband, Peter, moved to Libertyville in 1955. She led carloads of children on adventures in every neighborhood of the city, and decades later was thrilled her “adult daughters” made their early homes in Chicago. Dolores delighted in celebrating moments around her kitchen table, and was always eager to share soup, pie and cookies with family and friends. Her “chosen sisters” included women in the kitchen serving members of First Presbyterian Church and the Libertyville Women’s Club, and every woman with whom she played bridge, knit, or just shared lunch. What gave her the greatest joy was her grandchildren and great grandchildren whose laughter she loved deeply. Surviving are 2 children, Gail Gresser-Pitsch (Lawrence) and Craig (Laurie) Gresser; 2 Grandchildren, Kelly (Erik) Polli and Rae (Danny) Elegant; 5 Great Grandchildren, and her cousin, Janice Fullerton. Visitation will be from 10 am until the time of service at 11:30 am Monday, June 6, 2022 at the Burnett-Dane Funeral Home, 120 W. Park Ave. (Rt. 176, one block west of Milwaukee Ave.) Libertyville.
