Charlotte Mae Frank, a remarkable 11-year-old, passed away on Friday, September 22, 2023 after a courageous 11-month battle with cancer. She was born on August 19, 2012 in Chicago, where she lived for two years before moving to Libertyville and attending Copeland Manor Elementary and Highland Middle School. Charlotte was an amazing girl who radiated an unwavering zest for life from an early age. Her spirit was defined by the fire in her belly and a fierce determination that inspired all who had the privilege of knowing her. Charlotte’s infectious smile and laugh were testaments to the joy she brought into the lives of others. Her witty and sarcastic sense of humor never failed to elicit giggles from everyone around her. Quiet, intelligent and thoughtful are three words that perfectly describe Charlotte. Throughout her life, her love of art, soccer and spending quality time with friends shined brightly. Charlotte loved her family and adored her brother and sister above all else. Charlotte shared her mom’s love of travel. Her family’s Florida vacations were cherished moments filled with unforgettable memories. Charlotte received her keen sense of style and appreciation for history from her dad. She possessed a curious nature and had an insatiable thirst for knowledge. Charlotte had big dreams of becoming an architect one day. Charlotte’s strength and courage were most evident in her battle against cancer. Her journey united an entire community, demonstrating the power of love and support during difficult times. Charlotte’s impact on the world during her time here on Earth is immeasurable, touching more hearts in her short life than many of us do in a lifetime. Charlotte will be dearly missed by her family and all of her loving friends. Surviving are her parents, Michelle & Eric Frank; twin sister & brother, George & Violet; maternal grandparents, Mark Harvey & the late Donna Harvey; paternal grandmother, Judith Barnes; aunts, Melissa (Jeff) Stein & Lisa (Jeff) Lozinski; cousins, Dean & Cole Stein and Grace & Henry Lozinski, and by second cousin, Juniper. Charlotte’s Celebration of Life will be held from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday, October 6, 2023 at Independence Grove, Audubon Hall, Visitors Center at 16400 W. Buckley Road, Libertyville, IL 60048.
