John F. Krempely

John Fulton Krempely, 77 years old of Lake Villa, IL passed away Friday, December 20, 2024, at Thrive Nursing Home in Libertyville, IL. He was born February 23, 1947, in Waukegan, IL, the son of the late Michael T. Krempely and Anne Kathryn Krempely. John was the fourth eldest in a family of 17 children, 9 sisters and 7 brothers. John attended Lt. Kennedy School for Exceptional Children, Palos Park, IL. from 1958 to his graduation in 1964 and then lived with his parents. John moved with his parents from Winthrop Harbor, IL to Harvard, IL where he was employed at the Pioneer Center in McHenry, IL. After his father’s death in 2002, John moved with his mother to Lake Villa, IL. John lived his life as a very spiritual person, with a deep devotion to God which he shared with his family. John was passionate about woodworking, his Lionel Model Railroads, the Chicago Blackhawks Hockey Team and extensive collection of souvenirs and memorabilia. John loved the Christmas Holiday and always made or bought gifts for his family and friends. Survivors include his siblings, Michael (Donna) of Lincoln, CA, Dennis of Santa Rosa, CA, Margaret Christie, Phillip (Nancy), Joan Streicher, Peter (Paulette), Patricia (Glenn) Heidorn, Joseph (Jana), Clare (Mark) Palmer, Kevin, Kathryn (Jerry) Tuggle, Jean Anderson, Christopher (Sharon), and Annelle (Craig) Godwin; brothers-in-law, David Makela, and Jeffrey Streich, and numerous nephews and nieces. John was preceded in death by his father, Michael T. Krempely; mother, Anne Kathryn Krempely; sisters, Carey Frances Streich and Susan Elizabeth Makela; sister-in-law, Kathleen Ann Krempely; brothers-in-law, David Christie, William Anderson; Robert Streicher; nephews, Craig, and Ryan Streicher; Nathan Krempely, and Andrew Johnson. The family extends special thanks for the compassionate, loving care given by his family doctor Dr. Elliot F. Miller, MD. Visitation will be held from 4-8 PM Monday, January 6, 2025, at the Burnett-Dane FUNERAL HOME, 120 West Park Avenue, Libertyville, IL 60048. Prayer services will be held at 9:30 AM Tuesday, January 7, 2025, at the funeral home with Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 10:30 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 121 E. Maple Avenue, Libertyville, IL. Interment will follow in Ascension Cemetery Chapel, Libertyville, IL. INFO 847-362-3009.
