Phil Dane was born in Bemidji, MN, and raised near
Biwabik, MN. He was a graduate of Biwabik High School and
attended the University of Minnesota. In 1966, he graduated
from Worsham College of Mortuary Science in Chicago. Phil
assumed ownership of Burnett-Dane Funeral Home at the end
of 1978.
Active in the community, Phil is a member of the National,
Illinois and Northeastern Illinois
Funeral Director’s Associations, a member of the American
Legion Post #329 and VFW Post #8741 and Past-President of
the Libertyville Rotary Club. |

Phil also is a member and ordained deacon at the First Presbyterian
Church in Libertyville, served on the board of directors of
the GLMV Chamber of Commerce, the board of the Knollwood Sportsman’s
Club and the board of the Lakeside Cemetery Association.
He resides in Libertyville with his wife, Cynthia. His two
oldest children are now funeral directors at the funeral home.

Paul
Chominski was born and raised in Chicago, where he
was a 1976 graduate of St. Patrick High School. In 1980, he
earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy from Marquette
University and graduated from Worsham College of Mortuary
Science in 1981.
Active in the community, Paul
is a member of the National, Illinois and Northeastern Illinois
Funeral Director's Associations, Past Grand Knight and longtime
trustee of the Knights of Columbus #3674 Cardinal Stritch
Council in Libertyville, Precinct Committeeman #172 in Libertyville
and Sexton of Lakeside Cemetery. |
Paul is also a member of Gardeners of Central Lake County,
Sons of Italy Provencia de Lago and St. Joseph Catholic Church
in Libertyville.
He lives in Libertyville with his wife of 25
years, Connie.

Preston Dane was born
and raised in Libertyville, graduating from Libertyville High
School in 1998. Working at the funeral home for his father
and owner Phillip Dane as a young man, Preston chose to stay
in funeral service after finishing high school. He graduated
from Worsham College of Mortuary Science in the year 2000.
Preston is a member of the National, Illinois
and Northeastern Illinois Funeral Director’s Associations
and the First Presbyterian Church in Libertyville.
He resides in Lake County with his fiancée.

Marcee Dane was born
and raised in Libertyville where she attended Libertyville
High School. She graduated in 1996. After high school, she
attended both Gateway Technical College and the College
of Lake County before graduating from Worsham College of
Mortuary Science.
She is a member of the National, Illinois
and Northeastern Illinois Funeral Director’s Associations
and a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Libertyville.
In her free time, Marcee enjoys music, scrapbooking, gardening,
reading and being active at the YMCA.

Jennifer Kwasiborski
is a licensed Funeral Director and serves as our Pre-Planning
Consultant. She assists families with pre-planning funeral
arrangements for themselves or their loved-ones. She began
working in funeral service in 1995 in her hometown of Dixon,
IL. She attended Bradley University in Peoria, and Worsham
College of Mortuary Science in Wheeling, graduating in 1997.
Jennifer served her apprenticeship with Burnett-Dane Funeral
Home from 1997 to 1998, and after many years as a licensed
Funeral Director, became our Pre-Planning Consultant in 2005.

Cynthia Dane
(nee Bresnahan) was raised in Des Moines, Iowa, where she
was a graduate of Lincoln High School. In 1986, she graduated
from Iowa State University with degrees in Finance and Biology
and was a member of Sigma Kappa Sorority.
She was a former branch manager for the
Bank of Highwood in Libertyville, commercial loan officer
for the Glenview State Bank and was in pharmaceutical sales
with Fisons and Novartis Corporations.

Cynthia is a member of St. Joseph Parish, the church guild
and active at St. Joseph School. She is a former member of
the Kiwanis Club of Glenview and the Libertyville Junior Women’s
Club. She is also a past-president of the Auxiliary of Condell
Medical Center and served on the hospital board of directors.
